I am somewhat of a gypsy at heart and get antsy living in the same place for too long. Before I became a licensed real estate agent, I moved a lot. I grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Boulder, Colorado when I was 21. Loved it there, but missed my family so I headed back to the Midwest. I’ve been here now since 1987.
I love working with people. In my past life, I was a business owner. I was a hairdresser for 28 years and owned a hair salon in Chicago for 13 years… I even moved that twice. I own rental property in the city of Chicago, and even lived there for a short time.
Wanting more of a challenge, I decided to take on real estate as my full time profession. It is definitely my passion, and I’ve never looked back. I work more hours, make less money and had to adjust to the public’s notion that all REALTORS® make tons of money. Some do, but not all. A REALTOR® wears many hats in this line of work. The good ones work very hard. When I work for you I will never treat you like a number and you will always be a priority. My clients love me for that!
I am married to a great guy who can put up with my gypsy soul. Together, we are raising his teenage daughter. Yikes!!! I also have two cats I love… Ginger and Fudgee. I used to be a dog lover - still am - but I enjoy my feline friends at this time of my life. No taking out the dog in the snow. I love to be outside in the summer doing everything and nothing. I sometimes take my computer to my porch and work out there when the weather is nice. Someday I will move where there is no snow, but for now here I am helping people buy and sell DuPage County real estate and loving it!
