My earliest memory of organizing is 12 years old. My friend at the time had a very messy house and bedroom. I would love to go to her house just so I can clean up her room however, that wasn’t what she considered enjoyable. Needless to say, she stopped inviting me over. I can’t help it, I see clutter and not only can I visualize what the space would look like organized but I get excited at the idea of tackling it. Unusual, I know. It wasn’t until I watched Mission Organization on HGTV about 5 years ago did I discover that people have made a profession out of doing what I have done since I was kid for the pure enjoyment and fulfillment of it. In no time flat, I opened my business and have been passionately transforming homes and offices into livable and loveable environments since.
Like many of my clients, I too suffer from occasional bouts of overwhelminitis. As a business owner and single mother to a 6 year old, shall we say, lively daughter, I absolutely understand the pressure of attempting to get it all done and fit it all in. My belief is that being an organized person has saved me from the brink of insanity. Absolutely, I have times when my house can be in a disarray, however, because I have a place for everything and have developed systems to handle anything from grocery shopping and bill paying to laundry and homework time, I know I can get my place back to the clean and peaceful environment that I love to be in.
Because I realize many people have not been taught how to be organized and constantly see the suffering that disorganization causes, I have made it my mission to empower whoever will listen with simple information and skills to regain control of their environment and their lives. My projects have ranged from a cubicle to an entire floor of an HR department. I have worked with a wide range of people from autistic children to high level executives. What makes me unique as an organizer is my intuitive nature that allows me to ask laser like questions to facilitate the clarity needed to uncover the internal blocks that are creating the external reality of disorganization. It is through this process that my clients achieve a greater degree of success with long term results. I also use, as one client put it, “a take charge with love” approach which my clients learn to trust as needed to move them forward. You can count on my role going beyond that of a service provider, but rather a partner who is truly committed to your success, happiness and well-being.
Along with being a full time mom and business owner, I also occassionally dabble in the entertainment area. My daughter and I were cast to star in a reality tv show on TLC called, "Must love kids". The season lasted from July 08-September 08.
