Having worked with hundreds of buyers and sellers, Joe has helped individuals and developers to buy and sell real estate from modest to ultra-luxurious in neighborhoods from Back Bay, Beacon Hill, South End to Cambridge and Lexington. Joe’s guidance has enabled clients to discover new markets, to develop new ways of thinking about real estate and to achieve their lifestyle/business goals. A native of Massachusetts, Joe joined Gibson Sotheby's International Realty in 2003. Before establishing himself as a real estate professional, Joe worked in the fields of retail banking and investment management. He went on to earn the REALTOR designation in 2004 and has subsequently earned the Accredited Buyer Representative, e-Pro, Loss Mitigation Certification and Green designations from the National Association of Realtors. Professionally Joe has been recognized for industry excellence and currently serves on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and is Vice-Chair of the Technology Committee for the Greater Boston Association of Realtors as well as serving on its Education Committee and having also served on its Strategic Planning Committee. In 2008 JoeSchutt.com received an industry design excellence award from the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.
Despite being recognized as a "Top Ranked" agent among Gibson Sotheby’s 2005–08, Joe finds time to be involved in the community throughout Boston. Currently he is member of the Neighborhood Association of Back Bay and participates in the Beacon Hill Civic Association. Additionally Joe has held executive positions within the Boston Main Streets program and the Boston Dog organization.
