We believe that the most important thing we can provide is the years we have spent looking through the view finder of a camera and knowing what will be seen as the final image.
I know a bit about processing black and white film and prints, a little about slide film and next to nothing about color film processing. I have never done any print work except for the occasional document on my printer at home. What I do know is when I look through my viewfinder that the settings I have made will show the most vivid colors with amazing clarity.
In black and white, the blacks will be black and the whites will be white with a rich range of grays in between to give shape. If I photograph motion you will have a sense of movement and if I want to portray stillness all will be quiet. In this I have realized that the best service I can offer is my eye and the training I have.
I charge by the hour for the time spent photographing. We shoot at any location you desire and at any time. If it's a party downtown at night or a family get together at the park we are skilled in all lighting situations. Included in this is the sorting, editing and retouching. This starts at $50 per hour for simple portrait shoots outdoors and goes up depending on the complexity of the shoot. What you will receive for this is 2 CD's of the images and the ability to have prints made where and when you choose. You can have the number and sizes of prints you need and not a set package where you end up with 20 wallet size that are only going to collect dust.
If you would rather I handle your printing needs then I can and will but the charges will understandably increase.
