My name is Pamela Cendejas, a Certified Real Estate Support Specialist and proud owner of Second Self Virtual Assistance. I started working with Realtors® in 1990 after moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona from Riverside, California. My prior corporate experience had been in the Administrative Assistance department of a land developer in Irvine. It was natural for me to gravitate to real estate offices since I was familiar with that field. So, prior to moving to Lake Havasu, I sent my resume' to every real estate office in town hoping to land a job before I moved. I had 3 opportunities to interview and decided to work in the front office of the largest real estate office in Havasu.
Being a person who loves a challenge, I found myself longing for something more. I interviewed with a national non-profit health organization and was hired to manage the Western Region of Arizona. Now, there's a challenge! I was honored to support wonderful volunteers in their efforts in promoting health programs, fund-raising and public relations.
After 4 years of feeling like I was running 90 mph with my hair on fire, I decided to take a little break and get some rest! It didn't take long for word to get out that I wasn't working anymore. A friend and manager of a local real estate office asked me to help out in the front office for awhile until the regular office person returned from a family emergency. I reluctantly agreed and finally after years, I gave my notice. It was a great experience!
It was while I was working at the real estate office, that I was asked by various real estate professionals to help them with their marketing efforts. I designed marketing materials including postcards, flyers and business cards. I also provided a bulk mail service.
In 1997, I was approached by a real estate agent and asked to be her Virtual Assistant. A what? This was back in the day when VAs were not very well known but were gaining traction. A challenge! I was definitely ready for one again. I am still her VA, along with many others, across the USA. I love it!
I believe that everything in life happens for a reason - nothing is by chance. So, it's very simple for me to see how my life naturally evolved to bring me to where I am today - supporting real estate professionals who are challenged with finding enough time to maintain their on-line presence, marketing and other administrative needs while also selling real estate.
I absolutely love what I do!
