That could mean everything and anything from co-op advertising and marketing plans, to affiliating with a company that doesn't make you pay for other agents' waste. Fee for service is the only way to protect yourself from this costly mistake.
4. MARKET YOURSELF MORE EFFECTIVELY
The 80/20 rule is changing! Now, 10% of all the agents in the business are controlling the vast majority of the market. These agents all have one thing in common: They know how to promote themselves. This is a trend that is not going to go away.
5. ELIMINATE DISTRACTIONS
If you're working in one of those offices that is constantly hindering your time with unnecessary functions, meetings, and activities, you're costing yourself a fortune in wasted time.
6. GET A BUDGET
The first thing to decide when you sit down to write out your budget is how much money you're willing to spend on company affiliation. Remember when you pay a percentage of your commissions to affiliate with a company, the better you are, the more you're going to pay. Do what's good for business.
Start looking at real estate as a business! You're in business for yourself. You are the reason you're successful. Start running your career the same way any successful business person runs their business.
