Economic Stimulus Package

Well, this week the new economic stimulus package was passed.  There is a lot of debate about whether this is going to make a difference.  I know that I haven't seen much out of the most recent plans to help stimulate our economy.  The new homebuyers rebate was increased from $7,500 to $8,000.  However, the credit now does not have to be repaid.  This plan is extened back to homes purchased in 2009.  It also is limited to individual incomes of $75,000 or less or $150,000 or less for married couples.  Buyers also have to own the home for 3 years to earn the credit.

I will keep looking at the information as it becomes available and keep you up-to-date.  Interest rates are at an all-time low at close to 5%.
