Okay, we know there is a lot of stuff out there about how to optimize your site and web pages but some of it is too much to wrap your mind around. Following is a basic list of 5 top things you should focus on for SEO. 

1. Properly code your title tags. Your title tags are located within your pages HTML like <title>Grover Beach CA Real Estate – homes for sale in Grover Beach</title>. This is very important so make sure your title tag relates to your page, is worded for search phrases you would like to show up for and is not too long.
2. Properly code your page h1 tags. The h1 tag should relate to the title tag you created in the above step. Example: <h1>Grover Beach CA Real Estate</h1>. This should be a short title. Don’t stuff it with too many words.
3. The content in the body of the page should relate to your title tag. So if your title tag is “Grover Beach Real Estate”, make sure the content is talking about Grover Beach real estate. Don’t over use the key phrase in your content but attempt to use it at least once or twice.
4. Add links to your blog and profile pages such as Facebook and LinkedIn, which point to the page you want ranked.
5. Create online flyers that are syndicated and include links to your pages in your flyers. This will help create relevant link backs and help search engines find and index your pages quicker.
