Apopka is located in Central Florida just Northwest of Orlando straddling both Orange County and Seminole County.  Apopka is very accessible to all areas of Central Florida due to the major roads that traverse it.  The City of Apopka is abutted by Longwood and Altamonte Springs on the east and Orlando to it's south.  Apopka is just minutes away from downtown Orlando, the Orlando International Airport and the major theme attractions.   

In the early 1900's the City of Apopka was known as ‘Fern City' and today is known as the ‘Indoor Foliage Capital of the World.'  Apopka is one the fastest growing communities in Central Florida in both residential and business development. 

Recreation facilities abound in Apopka, especially with having not only the Wekiva Springs State Park, but also Kelly Springs State Park.  You can swim in the cool springs, picnic, canoe down the Wekiva River and Rock Springs Run.  There are 13 miles of trails with camping areas available. 

Golfing is abundantly available at many fine courses in and around the Apopka area.  There are at least six golf courses communities within easy reach . 

The West Orange Trail originates in Apopka and at present is 19 miles long and will eventually be a part of the 200 mile planned regional connection known as the Central Florida Loop, where walking, bicycling and roller blading is often seen. 

The City of Apopka opened Doctors' Dog Park in 2007 and is a great place to have your dog go romp and play. 

The City of Apopka is utilizing approximately 33 acres at the intersection of SR 436 & US 441 and forging ahead to build a mixed development area that will include retail, office space and residential units including condominiums and apartments.
