Trying to create an online real estate presence from nothing is a challenge. Notice I didn't say, "can be a challenge" or "might be a challenge" - it is a challenge. I speak with such authority because I went through it and have met many others who have gone through it as well.
Let me start off by saying, a few weeks is not enough time to create a strong online real estate identity - nothing can be substantially established in such a short period of time. Anything that is worth anything takes initiative, diligence, and ongoing contribution. When you come from having no online presence, blogging experience, or internet community to network with, the effort to create all that is daunting! And not for lack of resources, but because of an overabundance of them. It's hard to weed through all of the social network, social bookmark, and blog sites to see which ones are worth the time and which one's are a waste of time.
Wouldn't it be great if someone had a blog or article titled something like, "How to Create an Online Presence Without Wasting Your Time: The Best and Worst Sites to Utilize"? I bet the farm that it would get quite a few excited followers (as long as it's good, of course).
Any takers?
