Get Creative to Sell Your Home Listing
Certainly posting your home listing on ClassifiedFlyerAds.com increases the number of eyes who might be interesting in buying, but some home-sellers are taking it one step further to make their home stand out.
An
article from the Associated Press recently noted a Colorado couple who is holding an essay contest to sell their home. By charging $200 per entry (they’ve had 500 entries to date), the couple hopes to raise enough money to cover their mortgage and give their home to the winning essay writer.
Others are offering boats, cars, club memberships, golf lessons for a home on a golf course, and even a snowplow for a home in a high-snow area.
What can you do to make your home listing stand out from the rest?

Auto Dealers Get Revving on the Web
More and more auto dealers are embracing Web 2.0 techniques, according to a new
study by the
Kesley Group. The study, which surveyed auto dealers in February and was presented at the "Automotive Spring Training Conference" held March 9-11, found that auto dealers are increasingly using these technologies as a part of their marketing mix.
Results showed that 59 percent of auto dealers say they plan to use Internet video on their own Web sites during the next 12 months, up from the current 33 percent. During this same 12-month period, the percentage of auto dealers using customer ratings and reviews will rise from 29 to 43, and the percentage using social networking sites will rise from 15 to 33.

Go Commercial
While the bad news continues to roll in about residential real estate, the good news is that commercial real estate has not been hit as hard. Realtor.com recently offered some tips from Jerry Chautin, a business counselor with SCORE in Manasota, Fla., on how realtors can get started in the commercial side of the business:
- Join professional organizations. For instance, attending meetings of the International Council of Shopping Centers and getting to know its developer members can lead to opportunities down the road.
- Volunteer at trade shows and other industry events. Being visible in organizations where there are people with opportunities to share can lead to good things.
- Subscribe to trade magazines. Magazines like “Retail Traffic” report on which developers are doing deals and point out the competition.
- Consider buying prospect lists. Lists are sold by ZIP code and are not necessarily high cost.
- Take a course or two. The Institute of Real Estate Management and Urban Land Institute are known for income-producing real estate education.

Flyers by Phone!
We’ve just added a new feature that lets people receive our flyers not just online, but on their mobile phone or device, as well. The new Ad2Cell feature gives all flyers a unique email address through which mobile users can request more information. Customers can post the email anywhere – signs, print ads, postcards, etc. – so people can access the flyer information when and where it is most convenient to them.
So here’s how it works: A person sees a home or auto for sale and on the For Sale sign, for example, is the email address. So they type it in either via email or text and they receive an immediate message back with price, beds, baths and property address for a home, or price, make, model and year for a vehicle. A text link address to a mobile version of the online flyer is also included in the reply.
Then, the flyer creator gets both a text message on their mobile device and an email message to tell them about the inquiry, which flyer was requested and the inquirer's phone number, so they may choose to follow up if they wish. This information will also be available in the member area of
ClassifiedFlyerAds.com.
"Ad2Cell gives our customers one more way to communicate with potential buyers in a way that is convenient to them,” says Michael Thompson, chief operating officer of Go Smart Solutions, the parent company of ClassifiedFlyerAds.com. “Now you don’t have to be sitting at a computer to get information about a specific flyer; you can view it on the go."
